 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

NIV says:In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

It is good to make plans and goals for your life. After all, if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. So, it is very important to have a good understanding of where you are trying to go in life and plan how to get there. But we also must understand that even with our elaborate plans, it is God who determines our steps. 

We must never leave God out of our plans for we can do Nothing without Him. The plans of our hearts should be lined up with God's will for our lives. Our daily prayer should be for God to direct our steps that we may walk in our divine destiny.
