God has brought us through the first month of the year and I hope we are still excited about our goals and aspirations for 2013! Don't lose momentum or get discouraged. Keep your goals close where you can visit them often and don't forget to work towards the steps set forth to reach them.
During the month of February we will be talking about love and examining love scriptures from the wonderful Word of God. Let's get started!
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Most Christians know and can even quote this scripture. We use it to encourage others to come to Jesus and we teach it to our children. Sometimes when we become too familiar with something it just becomes an automatic thing. We lose or forget the power of the thing. Today, I would like to remind you of what this scripture really means and how its power can change our everyday life.
Each day we need to remember God's love. For, it is because of His love for us that we have been given the opportunity to chose eternal life. If you are reading this and you are not saved. You are missing out on the best opportunity ever offered. Jesus is the difference between hope and despair, living and loving life or just waking up and going through the motions of life. Accept Jesus as Lord of your life today and allow Him to come into your heart and to set you free. Let's look at Romans 10:9-13
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus died for your sins and God raised Jesus from the dead and if you are willing to confess that belief and accept Jesus as your personal Savior you my friend can be saved.
Right now if you are not saved pray this pray with me:
Heavenly Father, I know I have sinned. I ask that You would forgive me of my sins. I confess that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the Cross for my sins. Thank You for raising Jesus from the dead that I may have life. Father, I am calling upon Your Name. Come into my heart and save me. I accept your forgiveness and ask that You would take control of my life. Thank You for your love and I ask that You would prove yourself mighty in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen
My friend I want you to know that salvation is not about a feeling. So don't get caught up in a feeling. You may not feel any different than you felt before you prayed but you are different! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
You are now in Christ and Christ is in you so you are a new creature. The old man is passed away and all things in your life will become new.
A new hope for living. A new attitude!
Please commit yourself to daily Bible reading and prayer. Remember, praying is nothing more than having a conversation with God. There is no formula or set words that you have to say. Just talk to Him. He is always there ready to listen. You need to find a church. We grow stronger when we fellowship with one another. Let the Pastor or Leader know that you just gave your life to the Lord. I pray that you will be mentored and guided into a great relationship with Our Father.
I want to leave this with you. There is nothing too hard for God! I don't care how long you have been battling with your issue. God is able and willing to help you. He is a God that can deliver!
Don't give up looking for that job. and I pray right now that God will open a door for you today!
The door that will open today is just the beginning. God has bigger and better.
I speak hope in your life. A new found belief that God can and He will!
Praise God!
This is not the way I intended to go this morning but I make no excuse. Bless God. We will continue to talk about the Love of God next week. Until then, God bless and I pray each of you have a Supernatural Weekend filled with the blessings of God.
Father God in the Name of Jesus, We bless your Name and give you all the glory and honor. God, we pray for everyone who made a conscious decision to invite you into their lives today. Strengthen them in You Word and wrap Your loving arms around them. God let them feel your presence in their lives as they begin to surrender to you. Father, this is the day that you have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! Allow us the opportunity to share Your Word with someone today. In Jesus Name we pray AMEN!
