John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
There was a song out years ago titled "What's love got to do with it?" Without knowing the lyrics to the song it is difficult to answer the question in relation to the song; however, if I could just answer the question in a general form my answer would be EVERYTHING! Love has everything to do with everything. Love moves us to act in affection towards another person.
The scripture says Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Only love would cause a person to give of himself in this manner. We see this love from God our Creator who offered us His greatest gift, Jesus His Son. And we see this kind of love from Jesus who laid down His life for us. I do not know of any love greater than the God kind of love. The love that God has shown us and continue to show us. God's love is amazing and it commissions us to do amazing things.
Take a moment to bask in God's great love for you. Then pass it on to someone else.
